Prescription Service

If you take medication regularly, it may be put on ‘repeat’ by one of our doctors. This means that a doctor has authorised you to have a certain number of prescriptions before they want to see you again to review how things are going.

All medication requests take a minimum of 48 hours to be processed. Please note that requests may take longer over the holiday periods of Easter and Christmas / New Year.

Medication to be made available on repeat prescription must be first agreed with your doctor. Please be aware that doctors routinely review medications that have been set up on a repeat basis.

A member of the team will contact you either via SMS or telephone, if you require a medication review, it is important that you engage with your medication review.

You can ring the Practice on 028 9147 4900 and select Option1, after the tone you will be prompted to leave a recorded message of the medication you require, please speak clearly, giving your name, date of birth and first line of your address. If possible please give details of the strength of medication.

If your medication is pending a review, please ring again selecting Option 2 and speak to one of our reception staff.

If you are using a nominated pharmacy we would ask that you leave 4 working days before collecting your medication. Unfortunately reception staff are unable to assist with checking if your prescription is ready
